Shannon Heckt joined the KSNB Local4 News Team as a reporter in June 2018.
Shannon is dedicated to the world of news and has been since she grew up watching the news with her father over dinner. She works tirelessly to stay informed and be an honest part of the media during this unique time as a journalist.
Shannon studied Journalism and Media Production at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. She interned with Northwest Public Broadcasting and KREM 2 News in Spokane, WA. She also found a passion for TV production through the student run organization Cable 8 Productions. She also traveled to Argentina for a journalism program and covered the world's largest off-road vehicle rally.
This is Shannon's first TV job and is excited to begin her career as an on-air reporter. She is always interested in learning on how to be a better storyteller and wants to be a trusted source of news for the people of Nebraska. She hopes to report on the national level one day and to tell stories all over the world.
