Person killed in I-80 crash identified

WOOD RIVER, Neb. (AP) -- Authorities have identified a person killed after an SUV rammed into the back of a semitrailer on Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Renee Kersting, 33, of Sumner was killed in the crash.

Three juveniles were also transported to the hospital.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday, about 4 miles west of the Wood River exit.

Hall County Sheriff Rick Conrad says the semi had stopped in the eastbound lanes because of construction.
