Update: Grand Island man killed in motorcycle crash identified

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Update: Grand Island Police have identified the motorcyclist killed on Saturday evening as 35 year old Jerod Tiff of Grand Island.

GIPD said they are still reconstructing the accident, but that speed does appear to be a contributing factor in the crash.


Grand Island Police is investigating a fatal accident Saturday evening.

It happened at the intersection of 13th and North Road.

GIPD said a 35-year-old man, from Grand Island, died from a single motorcycle accident.

Police said he was traveling west on 13th, approaching North when he crashed.

The accident is still under investigation, but police said speed may have been a contributing factor.

A section of North Road was shut down for several hours, but has since reopened.

The name of the victim has not been released.
