NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Organizers of the Nebraskaland Days Competitive Art Show say it is the biggest show yet.

This year the Prairie Arts Center in North Platte hosted the annual art show during the month of June during the Nebraskaland Days celebration. Over 132 entries filled the gallery with artwork from across the state of Nebraska and Colorado.

Tuesday night Executive Director of PAC, Holly Carlini, and Events Coordinator, Brandy Jamerman, handed out awards at PAC with board members Wava Best, Amy Webb, Brenda Conell, Judy Thompson and Cheri Erickson.

Carlini says, "The Prairie Arts center is elated with the turnout and the opportunity to share the immense talent across the state."

Nebraskaland Days Executive Director David Fudge and board member Lacy Abel also helped hand out awards during the artists reception. They presented the Best of Show award to Valentine's David Dorsey. Fudge says, "The level of talent was outstanding this year."

The show featured categories in Western art, Wildlife, Family and Open categories in 2-D, 3-D and photography.
