Tracking COVID-19 in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. - Here are the details on all COVID-19 cases we've been made aware of in Nebraska on Sunday:

GAGE COUNTY

New Cases: 7

Public Health Solutions reports seven new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Gage County. All seven cases are related to an assisted living facility within the county. This is the same facility reported last week as having the district's first confirmed COVID-19 case. This brings the Gage County and the PHS district to nine confirmed cases.

DOUGLAS COUNTY

New Cases: 7

  • The Douglas County Health Department received preliminary test results on Sunday that confirmed seven additional cases of COVID-19 in the county. That brings the total number of cases in Douglas County to 148.

    These new cases include three men, one each in their 20s, 30s, and 80s. There are four new cases among women with two in their 20s confirmed to have the disease, one in her 30s and one case involving a woman in her 50s.

    Three of these new cases had contact to a known case and three are community spread. The other case remains under investigation. None of the new cases are hospitalized.

  • ADAMS COUNTY

    New Cases: 3

  • Three additional lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 were identified in Adams County bringing the total number of cases in the South Heartland District to eleven (11).

    One case is an Adams County female in her 40s who is home isolated and being actively monitored. She is a healthcare worker linked to the Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Lakeview in Hall County, where positive cases have already been announced by Central District Health Department (CDHD).

    The second case is an Adams County child with contact to a confirmed case who works at JBS Swift & Company in Grand Island, where positive cases have already been announced by the CDHD. The family is quarantined and being actively monitored.

    The third case is a male in his 50s who is home isolated and being monitored. Contact investigation is ongoing.

    South Heartland District Health Department’s investigations are ongoing for these cases to identify people who may have been exposed so that they may take next steps and prevent further spread.

  • CUSTER COUNTY:

    New Cases: 1

  • A patient within Loup Basin Public Health Departments (LBPHD) jurisdiction has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The person is a male in his 80s who is a resident of Custer County. He is hospitalized and stable. LBPHD is working in conjunction with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to ensure proper patient care and infection control practices are being followed.
  • COLFAX COUNTY:

    New Cases: 1

  • East-Central District Health Department has confirmed two additional cases of COVID19 within its jurisdiction, one in Colfax County. This brings the total number of cases in the ECDHD four-county service area to seven.
  • PLATTE COUNTY:

    New Cases: 1
