Armed robbery at Grand Island liquor store

Police in Grand Island are looking for a suspect following a robbery at JR Liquor Store over the weekend.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at a liquor store over the weekend.

According to Capt. Jim Duering, police were called to JR Liquor Store on West Fourth Street a little before 9 p.m.Friday.

The clerk that was working said a man wearing a grey zip up jacket, gloves and a gray mask covering most of his face pulled a knife out and demanded money be put into a bag.

Capt. Duering said the person left the store with several hundred dollars in cash.

GIPD said they are continuing to follow up on leads and ask anyone who may have information regarding this armed robbery to get in touch with them.
