Grand Island police have arrested a woman on robbery charges that could be related to a shooting incident in that city earlier this year.
It began as a check on the location of Jenell Perez, wanted on three active Hall County warrants, after police received an anonymous tip.
Perez was found in a camper parked in front of a home in the 2600 block of West 1st Street. She was arrested for the outstanding warrants, as well as drug related charges after a search found controlled substances in the camper.
In addition, she was also booked for robbery. That accusation stemming from an incident on February 3. During that attempted robbery on Brookline Drive in Grand Island, shots were fired. A man shot in the leg, Vincent Steffani, had left the scene before police arrived, but later took himself to the hospital to be treated for the wounds.
Police reported at the time that witnesses were not cooperative.
Perez was taken to the Hall County Jail on suspicion of three drug related charges, outstanding warrants and robbery.
Shawn Arnett, Junior was also cited at the same location. He is accused of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
