Attempted ATM theft unsuccessful in Dodge County

Dodge County Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a pair of would-be thieves that tried and failed to make off with the ATM machine at Platte Valley Bank in North Bend.

Around 4 a.m. two people with hoodies pulled tight around their faces attached a tow rope from their truck to the machine and pulled it away.

After dislodging the machine, they were unable to get it into the bed of the truck and drove off empty-handed.

The truck is reported to be a Chevy 4x4 that is either black or dark blue.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call investigator Ough at 402-727-2700.
