GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Tuesday kicked off the first day of the Aurora Cooperative annual meeting. The two-day event serves as a place for farmers and coop owners to get together to celebrate past accomplishments and talk about goals for the future.
They also had a trade show and former Husker player Will Shields as a keynote speaker. He told stories, answered questions and motivated the crowd to push through hard times.
"We like to bring in someone who can lift up our farmers and can make them feel good about what they're going into for the next year and can kind of just push them, give them that umph they need for success for the following year," Traci Menke, the Member Service Representative, said.
The event will start back up Wednesday morning with more speakers and events at 9 am at the Pinnacle Bank Expo center.
