Bob Marley's granddaughter preaches "love" at Hastings College presentation

HASTINGS, Neb. -- "Could You Be Love?"

Bob Marley first sang those words in 1980, and Wednesday night his message was being spread in the Tri-Cities.

Marley's granddaughter visited Hastings College to speak for Black History Month, and her message was simple - find love in a world at war.

Also - find balance between the spiritual and the material.

"Be brave and be defiant and be honest in your own struggles and your own journey," said Donisha Rita Claire Prendergast, Marley's Granddaughter. "And use that as an impetus to be grateful."

More than 150 people showed up to Wednesday night's event, which was open to students and members of the public.
