They raised a total of $6,900 and within the company they raised over $2,000 to help their employees that were directly affected by the flooding.
“One of our store managers was pretty much sleeping at her location because she could not have a safe drive home to her home,” Category and Online sales Manager Kinsey Bosselman said. “Plus it was a very busy time for the pump there so she was working around the clock. for those employees that were affected it was their home, their livelihood, everything that was affected.”
The funds will go towards the Red Cross emergency response services. The Red Cross said they are still helping flood victims to this day.
“A lot of people saw the news stories that happened right away and it's easy to forget about so that just helped keep it in front of people's minds and help them continue to support that,” Central and Western Nebraska Red Cross Board Vice Chair Jerad Anott said.
the Red Cross saID the funding is very helpful to them as they have been responding to more home fires than normal this winter. They can get those people into longer term care and provide them with necessities as they did in the flooding.
