Business Coalition of Veterans brings back Christmas at the VA

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - If you're feeling generous while you're hitting Black Friday sales, the Business Coalition of Veterans wants you to keep them in mind. The group is collecting donations for their annual Christmas at the VA present drive.

They are looking for unwrapped gifts to give out to veterans currently in the hospital and to their families. This is the third year they've hosted this drive and say they couldn't do it each year without the community help.

"Without the community, we wouldn't be able to do anything because none of us can just right a blank check," Chef Anthony Bando, the organizer for the drive, said. "It takes a lot of helping hands. If folks want to write a check, cash or come by with gift cards, please come give them to me and don't leave them in the donation bins."

The drop is located at the Grand Island HyVee. That's also where you can find Chef Anthony Bando to drop any type of monetary donation.
