HARRISBURG, Neb. - (KNEP) - Bob Krist hit the road for a five-city stop in Western Nebraska as part of his final push before the November elections.
Krist made a stop in Sidney in the morning before going to Kimball around lunch as he made his way up through the panhandle. His afternoon stop was to Laura Lee’s Double L Country Store on Highway 71 before going to El Charrito in Scottsbluff around dinner time.
His approach to this drive is to show that Western Nebraska is just as important as the eastern side of the state.
Krist says he is hearing from many farmers who are nervous that they won’t be able to pass the family farm down to different generations because of property taxes.
“You need to be aggressive about some issues that are currently plaguing Nebraskans,” said Krist.
He also spoke about righting the ship in corrections and taking a hard look at medicare as well funding for education.
