GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - It was a somber day at The Palace in Grand Island where family and friends of Briana Loveland came to remember her.
Loveland was killed in a July car crash near St. Libory. She was just 19. Two other people died in the accident as well. The benefit Saturday raised money for funeral costs.
A family friend of Loveland said she was funny and could always be seen with a smile. They say they can’t believe how many people came out to show how she had touched their lives.
“It feels amazing. I never ever thought in a thousand years that people would come out like this for my baby sister,” Brother Charles Royle said. “She touched a lot of people and it's just amazing to see the extent of what she did in her short 19 years you know.”
Her family and close friends have been taking the loss hard.
“She was very outgoing, she always had a smile on her face,” Family Friend Jennifer Whitefoot said. “It's really sad but she's amazing and she'll be missed.”
Whitefoot said she believes Loveland would want people to be happy and remember the positives about her.
A GoFundMe was started to help assist with the cost of the funeral:
