HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB)- For those who have driven between Hastings and Grand Island, they have dealt with all forms of construction. But it is close to the light at the end of the tunnel.
Construction begins to wrap up on Highway 281. (KSNB)
The Highway 281 project manager says all they have left is the permanent striping. They're waiting for the contractor to get to their project after rain delayed several projects across the state.
The final part is expected to happen in the second week of July and should take about five days to complete. The project was originally projected to finish in August 2019.
