Everyone welcome at Salvation Army sponsored Thanksgiving Dinner
When you hear that they are cooking 18 turkeys and 10 hams, you know that the Hastings Salvation Army wants people to come out for a free Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner.
Major Dale Brandenburg says this is the 38th year for this event and he says everyone is welcome.
"You can just come on in. It's open to anybody and everybody," said Brandenburg. "There's no charge. We do ask one thing: 'How much (food) do you want?"
The meal will be served at the handicap accessible Masonic Center in downtown Hastings and runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Brandenburg added it wouldn't be possible without the generous contribution of over 20 area businesses.
