The Expedition League announced it will hold a 52-game regular season starting on Friday, June 26 and ending on Wednesday, August 19.

Then winners of the Lewis and Clark Division's will play in the Expedition League Championship Series, a best-of-three series from August 21-23.

Only six of the 10 teams in the Expedition League will participate. That includes the Hastings Sodbusters along with the Badlands Big Sticks, Fremont Moo, Pierre Trappers, Souris Valley Sabre Dogs and Western Nebraska Pioneers.

The four that will not participate are the Casper Horseheads, Sioux Falls Sunfish, Spearfish Sasquatch and the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks.

All these teams will return in 2021.

"We're thrilled to once again have our outstanding brand of baseball and fun in the six great communities where Expedition League baseball will be played this summer," Expedition League President Steve Wagner said in their statement.

The Expedition League says their revised schedule will be released shortly and tickets to all their games can be found on each team's website. Click

Hastings Sodbusters owner Bryan Frew said they will follow state regulations, which requires them to only fill 25 percent of Duncan Field's capacity. He went on to say they will get creative by using the green spaces near the field to increase capacity.

The Sodbusters are working with the South Heartland Health District and fire marshals to ensure a safe environment for fans to watch the Sodbusters this season.
