HASTINGS, Neb (KSNB) - A wide variety of items will be up for auction during a gala dinner to support two Lutheran schools in Adams County. The event is March 3 at the Adams County Fairgrounds, which will be transformed into an ornate banquet hall.
This is the 13th year for the event known as FIRE, which stands for Faithfully Investing in Religious Education. Proceeds are split between Zion Lutheran School in Hastings and Christ Lutheran in rural Juniata. Last year each school received just over $62-thousand from the event, according to volunteer Ruth Nicolaus.
Nicolaus, appearing on Local4 News at 11:30, says auction items include Nebraska football tickets, a trip to Fixer Upper in Waco, TX, jewelry, tools and much more.
More details on the event and a list of auction items can be found at the school's web site.
