Food run ends up in armed robbery of two Hastings teens

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) A promised trip for a late night food run ended up with two Hastings youth robbed at gun point over the weekend..

According to Hastings Police, two 17-year-old males left a party in the 1200 block of North Baltimore just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning with four others. The two were told they were going to McDonald's to get some food. Instead, they went to the north side of Lake Hastings.

That's where two occupants in the car pulled guns out and took wallets and cell phones from the two youth, who were then allowed to leave the car.

Hastings police say they have suspects in mind. The victims told them they thought the robbers were from Grand Island.
