GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - If you had a son, nephew, brother or friend who was a Boy Scout, you probably have heard of the Pinewood Derby.

Cub Scouts and their parents work together to design and create a vehicle out of a block of wood.

Now, The Overland Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America and Kinkaider Brewing Co. are teaming up to offer up a new twist on the more than 50 year old tradition.

They are putting on the Pintwood Derby on Saturday, May 11 at 3 p.m.

The adult only event gives you the chance to build and race your own cars.

The event benefits The Overland Trails Council to help low-income kids get to camp.

If you want to be a part of this event, you can contact Gentry Neilson to sign up and more information.
