HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - If your New Years resolution was to eat healthier in 2019, that may soon be over. Girl Scout cookies have officially touched down in Hastings.
Hundred of boxes were unloaded off the truck Thursday morning at the Adams County Fairgrounds. From thin mints and shortbread, even the new gluten free caramel chocolate chip cookie, whatever your flavor they can soon be yours.
The Girl Scout cookie fundraiser has been going strong for decades, empowering young women across the county, and right here in our own community. Funds from the sale stay local as well.
"A lot of the girls will set a goal. Maybe a goal will be to go to a girl scout camp in the summer. Maybe to go on a trip. We recently had a girl who was selling cookies to go on a trip to japan. Girl scout cookie money does help the girls do a lot of wonderful things," said Troop Support Specialist, Lila Munsell.
Cookies go on sale February 1- March 10. You can even use the cookie finder app to locator the nearest cookie booth in your area.
Girl Scout Cookie Booths will go up February 8.
