GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Medical marijuana is a hot topic across the country and the Grand Island Prevention Project wants to make sure Nebraskans are well informed.

The group brought in Richard Salter, a Special Agent in Charge with the Omaha Field Division DEA to host a presentation. He separated facts and fiction so the public can form an educated opinion on the topic with unbiased information.

"I want them to be able to take away information, facts that are not based on what social media says or what you can find when you google medical marijuana and get the answers," Prevention Project Coordinator, Katie Usasz said. "He has facts that are citable resources in his presentation that are just amazing."

Usasz said she saw Salter's presentation in Lincoln and knew that she had to bring him to give a presentation in Grand Island.
