The United States Attorney's Office sentenced Grand Island Man, Dilson Villatoro, to up to nine-years in prison for the possession and intent to distribute meth.

In October 2019, a patrol officer stopped Villatoro who tried to walk away from the scene. Officer instructed him to stop and Villatoro was frisked. The officer found a pipe used for smoking and recovered 200 grams of meth from two Ziploc bags founds on the passenger side floorboard.

Villatoro will serve a 3-year term of supervised release, following his release from the Bureau of Prisons. He is a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. In the Attorney Office's press release, they say Villatoro will likely be deported to Guatemala after serving his term.
