Grand Island's Island Oasis water park will be opening for the season on Saturday. Workers spent Friday doing last minute touch ups and maintenance to make sure everything was ready. The park has fun for the whole family with a wave pool, water slides and a sand play area.

The staff says they're looking forward to another great season after nearly three decades of bringing family fun to Grand Island.

"This is going to be our 28th year here in Grand Island," Grand Island Recreation Superintendent, Jeremy Bachmann, said. "We really try to get families out here to enjoy the sun and the fun and everything like that."

Grand Island's Lincoln and Wading pools will also be opening on Saturday.
