Eating. It's something that we all do, but for some, it is harder to stay on track when it comes to having a healthy meal.

It all begins with a trip to the grocery store where you can get overwhelmed if you are trying to eat healthy.

Hy-Vee Dietitian Danielle Perry said using MyPlate will help set you up for success. MyPlate is the current nutrition guide by the USDA, depicting a place setting with a plate and glass dividing the five food groups.

Perry said your plate should consist of 1/2 being fruits and vegetables, 1/4 grains (1/2 being whole grains), 1/4 lean protein and low-fat dairy three times a day.

She shared several tips with Alissa Harrington on Local4 Today on how to shop for a healthier you. You can find those above.
