GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island's Habitat for Humanity hosted their annual Build A Dream fundraiser Friday night.
The night included a dinner, live and silent auctions. All proceeds from the night are donated towards future Habitat homes for people who may not be able to afford them otherwise.
"Each Habitat house is about $90,000 and that includes the lot," Executive Director, Dana Jelinek, said. "We don't get government funding so support from the community is vital for us to do what we do."
This was the first year the event was at the Riverside Golf Club and it was the largest crowd they've had yet.
