GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Central Nebraska showed their support Monday night with another good crowd at an NBC Nebraska "Voice" Watch Party in support of Hannah Huston.
The Grand Island native is currently a school teacher in Lincoln, and was seen in the knockout rounds during Monday night's show on NBC.
Huston battled fellow teammate Malik Heard during the show. Pharrell brought in Miley Cyrus to help mentor them both. Hannah wowed the crowd with her version of The Animal's 'House of the Rising Sun.' She will advance to the live shows on NBC.
Slugger's Sports Bar and Grill again played host to the watch party, and unlike last week where several came out for the event, Monday night involved some people that stumbled upon the show for the first time.
After Hannah won her Knockout Round for Team Pharrell, let's just say she earned a few more fans in her hometown.
"Well, it's nice to see somebody represent Grand Island, Nebraska nationally in a national contest," said John Snipes of Grand Island. "I thought she did a fantastic job. It actually gave me chill bumbs, and I loved the song choice."
With Hannah advancing on now to the live rounds of "The Voice," many here in Nebraska will now get to voice their opinions and vote for Hannah as the weeks go on.
Of course keep it right here with NBC Nebraska for all the fun as it unfolds.
