HASTINGS, Neb (KSNB) - Dining options in Hastings will be reduced by one before the week is out as the Applebee's Grill and Bar location there will be closing.

A local manager has confirmed that Applebee's in Hastings will close their doors after the end of business on Thursday.

In early May, R.M.H. Franchise Holdings, the company that owns the Hastings Applebee's, along with a number of other locations in the state, filed for bankruptcy. At that time no plans for restaurant closings were announced.

R.M.H. Franchise Holdings sent this statement to KSNB Local 4 on Monday afternoon:

"The Applebee's restaurant at 2303 Osborne Dr. West in Hastings, Nebraska will close on June 15, 2018. We greatly appreciate our neighbors' patronage and look forward to continuing to serve guests at the nearby Applebee's restaurants in the area:
• 721 Diers Ave, Grand Island
• 5605 2nd Ave, Kearney

We have offered employment to all team members at our other locations in the area."

Managers at the Grand Island and Kearney Applebee's locations were able to confirm they are staying open, with Hastings the only known Nebraska location slated to close.
