Hastings City Council to consider playground replacement

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings City Council is looking into building new playground at Heartwell Park.

It would replace the current playground with one more suited for children under the age of five. The parks and recreation director says Hastings doesn't have a playground for that age group right now.

It would be the first of six proposed projects to replace old playgrounds around town. They hope to build one per year with funding from the half cent sales tax.

The decision will be made at the meeting on Monday, February 11.
