“Encompasses such a wide variety of needs. We really have something for everybody or anybody who is struggling,” Rehab Coordinator Michelle Schneider said.
For the first time they will be hosting a soup dinner to raise funds for their clients and start the conversation.
“This year's theme is 40 seconds of action. That is based off the statistics that every 40 seconds somebody loses their life to suicide,” Schneider said. “So the action part of that is reaching out to people. If you are struggling take 40 seconds to reach out and get some help. If you know somebody that has struggled, take 40 seconds and reach out and offer them help.”
A soup dinner will be served Thursday night from 5:30-7. Tickets are $7 and the money raised will go towards fun activities for clients to enjoy during their time with the opportunity house.
