Hastings Public Schools bond passes


HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The vote for a $6 million bond for Hastings Public Schools was passed.

5,290 people cast their vote on the bond, with 3,466 (68 percent) voting for the bond and 1,631 (32 percent) voting against it.

The bond will go to making renovations on the Morton Elementary School building. HPS wants to use the building as a central location for preschool and administration offices. Right now, the preschool is split up between elementary schools, but sometimes have to be moved around if there is a large class at one of the schools.
