Hastings Sodbusters preparing for opening day

Sodbusters General Manager Scott Galusha said he is happy they will be back at Duncan Field this summer, but now it is time for them to get to work.
"We essentially have seven or eight weeks of work to do and we have 22 days," Galusha said. "We're going to have to figure out how to get that done and we will do it because we have a lot of people pulling for us."
He said, per state regulations, they can only fill 25 percent of Duncan Field's capacity. They are working with the South Heartland Health Department and fire marshals to try to increase capacity in a safe manner, such as using green spaces around the field.
In terms of the roster, Galusha said he has received hundreds of emails from players asking to be on the team.
"The opportunities are so limited... I've shared that with our kids, that they know that this is a very unique year and a great opportunity for them and an opportunity that nine out of 10 kids are not going to get," Galusha said.
