Hastings police officers assaulted serving arrest warrant

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A Hastings police officers was assaulted while trying to serve an arrest warrant.

According to the Hastings Police Department, around 8:30 p.m. on May 16th, officers arrived at a home in the 1100 block of North Bellevue Ave, looking to arrest 24 year old Brandon Seabaugh.

When they approached Seabaugh became combative, punching an officer in the face. A scuffle then continued for a short time.

Officers were able to safely place Seabaugh under arrest. He now faces charges of 3rd degree assault on an officer, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer among other charges.

The office suffered minor injuries.
