Hastings strip club gets new Class M liquor license

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) The state liquor control commission has authorized a new Class M liquor license to a Hastings strip club.

The club is called "The Platform" and is located at 1104 West J street.

Owner Johnathan Canterbury confirmed the license approval and said that the club operates as a private membership club. A Class M liquor license does not authorize the club owner to sell beer, wine or liquor, but it does allow the club's patrons to bring in their own alcohol.

The club was formerly known as The Shed and was operated by Shane Harrington, who until earlier this year had operated a string of gentlemen's clubs in Grand Island, Hastings and Elm Creek. Canterbury said he bought the club from Harrington in July.
