UPDATE Thursday Nov 21:
Keys were drawn for two contestants on Thursday, the first day of the drawing period. The two contestants are Grand Island residents Michael Pitcher and Sandy Mead.
Each year Heartland United Way has its fall campaign in an effort to raise money and make an impact for the 25,000 people impacted in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick counties.
This year, there is an incentive to increase donations or become a donor with the possibility of winning a Cadillac from Dinsdale Automotive.
Beginning Nov. 21, two keys will be drawn per day until December 12, which will be when the 25th key and the final winner will be chosen.
To have a name entered and be eligible, donors must have donated at least 260 dollars in 2019.
No one is excluded from donating or having their name eligible to be drawn, as long as they met the minimum donation requirement.
"We encourage people to give to the heartland United Way and support the great work that not only the Heartland United Way does," President Karen Rathke said. "But also our United Way community partners and also all the local collaboratives that we work with day in and day out."
The second key winner will be chosen on Local4 Midday at 11:30 a.m.
