Friday evening, a cold front in Northern Nebraska may trigger a few showers and thunderstorms. That cold front will be making it's way south southeastward through the are Saturday and Saturday evening. This cold front will provide relief once it moves through. Highs on Saturday will depend on the timing of the cold frontal passage. Obviously, the coolest temperatures will be up north where 70s will be possible for highs. Meanwhile, temperatures will still make it into the 90s south of the boundary. Once that front passes through, temperatures are expected to drop. Showers and thunderstorms are also expected along and behind the cold front. Some severe weather will be possible.
A cold front is expected to pass through some time late Saturday or Saturday night. There will be a slight chance of thunderstorms near and behind the front Saturday night through Sunday night with the best chance Saturday night. More notable will be the cooler air coming for early next week.
Some showers may linger into Sunday morning, but after that they will push away from us. Expect mostly dry conditions Sunday night through Wednesday. Meanwhile, temperatures will be more comfortable with 70s and 80s for highs and 50s and 60s for lows.
