Chef Anthony at Hy-Vee created this event to celebrate the team and recognize those who have served. They gave special medals to those who served in Vietnam and even took time to tell the story of some who were held captive or exposed to agent orange.
“When I saw how much this community embraces veterans I knew I couldn't stand on the side,” Chef Anthony said. “Two years ago I decided to shift my focus to help honor the living veterans.”
A fundraiser was held by the Business Coalition for Veterans to put towards supporting veterans at the Grand Island Central Community College campus.
