KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Kearney Police Department has located a missing 40-year-old who was believed to be in danger.

KPD said in a release on Facebook, Amanda Young was located and has been transported to CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital.

Kearney Police captain Mike Kirkwood said Young was found around 9:00 a.m. Monday in her vehicle. The vehicle was found in a field in northern Phelps County about 10 miles southwest of Kearney. Young said that officers had been talking to her. He also said that she had suffered some injuries due to the cold weather. Kirkwood said she was wearing the same clothes that she wore when she was reported missing last week.
