KEARNEY, Neb (KSNB) A Kearney man who victims say pulled a pistol and robbed them is charged with felony robbery and terroristic threats.
Carter Lang, 19, was arrested early Wednesday morning after police investigated a reported robbery late Tuesday at a Kearney apartment complex.
Court records indicate that the victims told police Lang was one of three men who forced their way into an apartment and were carrying two handguns and a shotgun. The victims say they were forced to lie on the floor while the suspects took cash, debit cards, car keys and a cell phone.
Court records also indicate that the victims later found Lang at a convenience store in central Kearney and demanded their property back. They told police that Lang also pulled a handgun on them at that point.
There were no reports of shots fired or of injuries.
Lang is charged with felony robbery and two counts of felony terroristic threats. If convicted, the maximum penalties for those crimes is a combined 56 years in prison. Lang is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Buffalo County Court April 8th. As of Friday he was still in the Buffalo County jail on $50,000 bond.
