Governor declares EMS week

LINCOLN, Neb. Monday afternoon, Governor Pete Ricketts provided an update on steps taken by the State of Nebraska to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The governor started off the press conference by declaring this week "Emergency Medical Services" Week. May 17 to May 23 is National EMS Week, an event started by President Gerald Ford, a Nebraska Native, in 1974.
