Ladies get advice, give laughs in new Hastings Theatre production
An all-woman cast with a comedy script will be taking the stage the next two weekends in the latest production from the Hastings Community Theatre.
The play is "The Savannah Sipping Society". Here's how the play is described on the theatre's web site:
“The Savannah Sipping Society” is a delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, where four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour—and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years.
Berice Rosenberg is one of the cast members and she says this play is a good time for all.
"It is absolutely fun," said Rosenberg. "It's not only fun for our audiences, but obviously it's fun for a small ensemble cast like we have."
Chuck Rosenberg is producing this production and says there is much going on surrounding this production.
"We're having a Valentine's opening tomorrow, so we have a special for the ladies with a rose," said Chuck Rosenberg. "There's a lot involved with the theatre this weekend."
HCT has recently partnered with the Wander Well to provide adult beverages including a special signature–the Savannah Sipper. All performances will be held at the Hastings Community Theatre, 515 South 4th Avenue, located in the Good Samaritan Village.
Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. They will present three more shows using the same schedule next weekend.
