Learning and fun mix together at Nebraska State Fair
It's a classroom with no walls - and fun and games - as grade school students visit Nebraska's Largest Classroom at the Nebraska State Fair. Over 3500 students from kindergarten to sixth grade take part in the learning activities at the State Fair.
"It's a self-guided field trip of the fairgrounds," said Chelsey Jungck, the Chief of Events and Entertainment at the fair. "We send out some information in advance and the teachers really plan out the course of their day."
Jungck says some groups will use a plan emphasizing agriculture, others entertainment and more.
Kids will be touring the fairgrounds Tuesday and Thursday of this week after the event kicked off on Monday.
