A lot of people know Lana because she has worked for the school district for multiple years and has taught many people's children.
"I've been really surprised by how many people know her," Jacinda Gerdes, another Committee Member said. "You meet a lot of people when you're working on the committee to help with it and then you find out all these people know her and love her and have all these Lana stories. A huge impact in the community, there's not very many people who didn't know her."
Her family said they had no idea what kind of turn out to expect, but they were shocked at how many people came.
"I mean, I knew a lot of people knew my mom, but hands down I was impressed with the amount of community response to begin with," her son Christopher Langenberg said.
