State Fair performer applauds space, openness

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Travis Newcombe has been a professional magician for nine years now, but has been working on his craft for 20.

Crowd watches as a Magician performs one of his tricks.

Performing at the Nebraska State Fair this year, his ninth year at the Fair, Newcombe praises the Fair's setup.

"The space," Newcombe said when asked the best part of the Nebraska State Fair. "A lot of fairs are condensed and squeezed into a small space. The Nebraska State Fair does a really good job about organizing and making sure each thing that somebody might want to do has its own space and is easy to get to."

Newcombe performs three times on Thursday and said he may have a few tricks up his sleeve for his final performance to honor the 150th year.
