Man dies after medical episode while driving dump truck

At 6:25am on Friday morning, Hall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to just west of Highway 30 and Highway 11 for a reported truck that was stopped on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.

When the deputies arrived. it was determined that the 2012 Mack dump truck, pulling pup trailer, was east bound on Highway 30 when the driver had a medical issue that caused him to leave the roadway and come to rest on the railroad tracks.

The driver of the truck, Gary Rouse, 64 from Gibbon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
