Nebraska Task Force One is currently in North Carolina preparing to help those who are impacted by Hurricane Florence.
The team of 44 members of NETF1 is currently stationed at the Hope Mills Recreation Center, riding out the storm and making preparations to spring into action.
Media was informed during a conference call Friday morning they are on the outer rims of the storm, but rains are very steady with winds around 40 miles per hour.
NETF1 has split into two water rescue teams and is awaiting further orders.
NETF1 and the Urban Search and Rescue team were deployed on Tuesday morning, stopped in Lexington, Kentucky Tuesday night, and made their way through the mountains of West Virginia on Wednesday.
