GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - You might notice more state troopers patrolling the roads the next few days as they kick off the Click it or Ticket Campaign.

Troopers will be especially on the look out to make sure everyone's wearing their seat belts.
Last year, 66 percent of people who died in car crashes in Nebraska weren't wearing seat belts.
"Utilize that five seconds to put that seat belt on, not only for yourself as the driver, but also for the other occupants in the vehicle," said Lt. Dean Riedel, Nebraska State Patrol. "If we could reduce that 66 percent even in half, just look at the number of lives we would've saved in 2018."
With it being one of the busiest travel days of the year, troopers will also look for impaired drivers. Since the major snow storm hit on Tuesday, troopers will help drivers who fell victim to road conditions.
NSP is one of 30 agencies in Nebraska participating in the Click it or Ticket campaign. It's made possible partly because of a $20,000 grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The campaign runs from November 27 through December 1.
