GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Walk to End Alzheimer's had their first meet up of the year Tuesday afternoon.
People who participated in the past and those who are interested in participating this year were invited to Baristas for free coffee and to hear more about this year's event.
With the walk still a few months away, they say they've already reached over a fifth of their fundraising goal.
"We are probably at over $10,000 raised already, which is amazing. Our goal is $50,000," Cassie Larreau-Bailey, Walk Organizer, told Local4 News. "So when we are looking at how close we are, we're just really excited at the incredible support from the Grand Island Community."
