GRAND ISLAND, Neb (KSNB) Less than two month after he took over the position full-time, new Grand Island city administrator Brent Clark is no longer with the city.

Grand Island city attorney Jerry Janulewicz released this statement Tuesday morning:

"Mayor (Roger) Steele and Brent Clark have mutually agreed to end Mr. Clark’s employment with the City of Grand Island. Mr. Clark has chosen to explore other opportunities. We wish him the best. Both Mayor Steele and Mr. Clark want what is best for the people of Grand Island."

Clark had formerly worked as city administrator in Broken Bow, before joining the city of Grand Island late in 2018. He took over the post full-time in March when former city administrator Marlan Ferguson retired.

Local 4 has reached out to Mayor Steele to learn more information about the story.
