A new location for this year's Broken Bow Gun Show led to a record-breaking crowd over the weekend.

Nearly 800 people came out to this year's event at the One Box Convention Center, which was moved due to construction outside the Broken Bow Municipal Auditorium

The gun show is in its 16th year and is put on by the Mid Nebraska Rifle and Pistol Club.

While the new location is more costly than the old site, Club President Doug Bazyn said the event might be held at the convention center again next year.

"The vendors seem to be happy. There's a lot of things going in and out. That makes vendors happy. It makes us happy because that encourages the vendors to come back."

This year's event feature guns, knives and other accessories from 75 different vendors.

Bazyn said despite the stigma some have about gun shows, each transaction goes through the same paperwork and process that would be done at a gun store.
